Let’s Sew!
Welcome to my creative corner! I’m Diana and I’m thrilled to share my passion for sewing with you.
My sewing journey began with a gifted vintage Elna sewing machine. It was heavy and came with stitch wheels. I never did figure out how to use it; however, I was determined to learn to sew. I bought a basic Brother (C6000csi) machine from Amazon and I was on my way.
I taught myself to sew focusing mainly on garment sewing. I was always intrigued by quilt making but didn’t know how to get started. It seemed daunting but I had an “aha!” moment and joined my local quilt guild. Quiltmaking was within my grasp.
Fast forward to today and here I am combining my love of garment sewing and quiltmaking. The best of both worlds.
My goal is to show you how easy it is to sew a quilted coat. If you’re strictly a quilter you will find out how easy it is to sew a coat. If you love garment sewing then you can dip your toes into the world of quilting.
